Skulker Jones was inspired by Sympathy For The Devil. Sympathy For The Devil was inspired by Mikhail Bulgakov's Master And Margarita. Jagger was a fan.

Yes Lynn, I read the book about four or five years ago, but I've never seen the series. It was recommended to me by a friend of mine I met on Another blog who went by the name of Woland. He took that name because Woland was the name of the character who plays The Devil in Master and Margarita.
ReplyDeleteMaster and Margarita is a great book and I highly recommend it. I've read a few other works by Russian authors that I also like. Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky is the first one that comes to mind. It's about an axe murderer. My only gripe about reading Russian authors is I get the characters names confused because they're long and a lot of them sound alike. By the way, have I ever told you 23 & Me says I'm kin to Jimmy Buffet, Warren Buffet, and Leo Tolstoy?
Something else that occurred to me... If James was inspired by Sympathy for the Devil and Sympathy for the Devil was inspired by a Russian, doesn't that mean James has colluded with Russia by the standards of today's news media?
You might've noticed the black cat in that Master and Margarita video. His name is Behemoth. He's one of Woland's cohorts. I'm reminded of him every time I play one of my favorite albums.
